.25. You say it's your birthday?

Yes, that would be correct! It has been a crazy week since I last updated my blog. My birthday was on September 3rd and I turned 25! Which is really cool because this is my 25th post to my blog - how awesome is that?!

I started the day off with this:

Inside was this beautiful bracelet, that I actually helped pick out. My mom has a Pandroa, and we found these bracelets at Helzberg Diamonds at the mall the same day we got Anna's presents. Helzberg 'Expressions' are a tad cheaper, so we went with this brand so I could end up with more beads! haha And they are just as pretty! Anyway, she wanted me to pick out what beads I wanted to get it started. Here's a picture of the beads I got on my bracelet. This is from the Helzberg Diamonds website because the picture I took of my actual bracelet didn't turn out very well.

I also got balloons!

Stupid me though accidentally popped my turtle balloon when I was bringing them in the house. Our screen door got caught on it. Here's a picture of the turtle with the balloons though because he was too cute!

Mom and I went to eat at Eduardos' and had a great time and good food! Dad had to work so we made up for that by going out to eat on Sunday (September 6). I also made brownies to take to school on my birthday and they were DELICIOUS! Everyone loved them. Here's the recipe because these brownies are SOO GOOD I have to share!

FINAL EXAM BROWNIES

INGREDIENTS
4 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate
1 cup butter (no substitutes)
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips, divided

DIRECTIONS
1. In a microwave or double boiler, melt unsweetened chocolate and butter; stir until smooth.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar, eggs, vanilla and chocolate mixture. Add flour; mix well. Fold in marshmallows, nuts and 1/2 cup chocolate chips.
3. Spread into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pan. Sprinkle with remaining chocolate chips.
4. Bake at 350 degrees F for 40-45 minutes or until top is set. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into bars.

September 4th we got to go to an awesome workshop in OKC at OCCC. It was over Pharmacology and Barb Bancroft was our speaker. She was HILARIOUS, OMG! We were all rolling over some of the things she had to say. Loved her! Only bad thing of the day was by the time I got on the bus (we left at 6:15 that morning) the only empty seat left was in the front behind the driver. I would have went and sat with Sara or someone, but I was saving a seat for Logan and we were picking her up (along with some others) in Marlow. Yeah, she didn't get on the bus first and I got stuck sitting with Mrs. Werner. Enough said.

That brings me to Sunday, September 6. We went to Rib Crib in Norman and I got some cool presents! We had Red Velvet cake and homemade chocolate ice cream. A GREAT day and I am blessed to have such a great family!
